Parx Casino Fined $15,000 By the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board

HARRISBURG, PA: Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc., operator of the Parx Casino in Bucks County, agreed to a fine of $15,000 for conducting business with two Gaming Service Providers who were on the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board's prohibited vendor list.

The fine was the result of today's Board approval of a consent agreement between the PGCB's Office of Enforcement Counsel and the casino license holder.

Emerson Network Power had been placed on the Board's Prohibited Gaming Service Providers List in 2009. Greenwood Gaming and its affiliate Greenwood Racing, Inc., however, made disbursements from 2010 to 2012 to Emerson Network Power for services totaling $173,494.52.

Additionally, Greenwood Gaming made a disbursement in 2013 of $8,200 for services rendered by Belle Mead Hot Glass even though that firm had been placed on the Prohibited Gaming Service Providers List in 2011.

This was the second penalty against Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc. for a violation pertaining to the use of a Gaming Service Provider who appears on the prohibited list. The first was assessed through a consent agreement in August 2012 and resulted in a $5,000 fine.

The next meeting of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in the PGCB's Public Hearing Room located on the second floor of Strawberry Square in Harrisburg.
