Mozelle E. Daniels
Director of Diversity & Special Counsel to the Executive Director
Mozelle E. Daniels was appointed Deputy Chief Counsel of Administration/Director of Diversity of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board in August of 2006. On June 20, 2008, in addition to her duties as Director of Diversity, Mozelle began serving as Special Counsel to the Executive Director. As the Director of Diversity, she is responsible for guiding efforts to oversee and promote diversity in all aspects of gaming in the Commonwealth as mandated by the Gaming Act.
In her role as Special Counsel, she is responsible for providing legal advice that includes all aspects of analysis and review pertaining to various legal matters. Prior to joining the Gaming Board, Mozelle served as a Senior Deputy Attorney General in charge of the Philadelphia Regional Office of the Bureau of Consumer Protection for Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General.
She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Temple University and her Law Degree from Howard University. Mozelle is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mozelle is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Philadelphia County Bar Association, Dauphin County Bar Association, and Philadelphia Lawyers’ Club. She is a 2009 graduate of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Leadership Development Institute. Mozelle has served as an Assistant District Attorney for the City of Philadelphia, a Special Assistant Public Defender for Montgomery County, and an Arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Ms. Daniels’ legal career has afforded her the opportunity to practice both civil and criminal law as a sole practitioner.
