Paul Mauro
Director, Bureau of Investigations and Enforcement
Paul Mauro was named the Director of the Bureau of Investigations and Enforcement (BIE) on May 2, 2012, providing seasoned leadership to the independent bureau of the PGCB that ensures the integrity of the Commonwealth’s gaming industry through conducting suitability and regulatory investigations.
Paul has over 20 years of law enforcement and regulatory experience encompassing bureaus at the federal, state and local levels. He joined the BIE in January 2006 as a Supervisor in the Harrisburg office and was promoted to Deputy Director of BIE in April 2007. Prior to joining BIE, he held positions as Chief of Police at Harrisburg International Airport, Special Agent with the United States Secret Service and Sergeant with the Lancaster City Bureau of Police.
In addition to his professional experience, Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Elizabethtown College, along with a Masters degree from Kutztown University.
