PGCB Makes Public the Ownership Structure, Local Impact Reports, And List of Professional Representatives For Philadelphia Casino Applicants

HARRISBURG, PA: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board posted on its web site today the Local Impact Reports for each of the six applicants for Philadelphia’s second casino license.

In addition to the Local Impact Reports, the Board also posted an Ownership Structure report to list the proposed ownership for each of the Philadelphia applicants, along with a list of Registered Professional Representatives, such as attorneys and lobbyists, for each applicant.

This information can be accessed from the home page of the Board’s web site through a special link “Philadelphia Casino Applicants Information” under the Quick Links section.

The Local Impact Reports contain items including engineering reports and traffic studies, and address any identified impact on transportation, transit access, housing, water and sewer systems, local police and emergency service capabilities, existing tourism, or other municipal service or resource.

 “The Board is committed to providing the public with as much information as possible on each of the six proposals in a manner that would allow easy access to the information. This information will aid the citizens and government officials in providing valuable testimony during our public input phase of the licensing process,” Board Chairman William H. Ryan, Jr. says.

Ryan adds that the Board will continue to release information about the projects via its web site including public versions of the applications for each of the projects. 

About the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board:
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board was established in 2004 with the passage of Act 71, also known as the Race Horse Development and Gaming Act. Pennsylvania’s first new state agency in nearly 30 years, the Gaming Control Board is tasked to oversee all aspects of the state’s casino industry. The 11 casinos in operation all offer both slot machine and table game gambling, employ over 16,000 people, and collectively generate an average of $4 million per day in tax revenue. A portion of that money is used for property tax reduction to all Pennsylvania homeowners; provide funds to the Commonwealth’s horse racing industry, fire companies, a statewide water and sewer project grant program, and the state’s General Fund; and, established a new stream of tax revenue to local governments that host casinos for community projects.
