Gaming Control Board Releases October Table Game Revenue

HARRISBURG, PA: The play of table games during October at Pennsylvania casinos generated tax revenue of more than $8.5 million, according to figures posted today on the Gaming Control Board’s web site, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov.

With an average of 946 tables in operation on a daily basis during October, gross revenue from play of all table games was $53,079,942 which was more than $12 million higher than October 2010 when revenue totaled $40,893,425 with an average 693 tables operating on a daily basis.

 Pennsylvania taxes gross table game revenue at 16% (14% to the Commonwealth’s General Fund and 2% to local share fund) which resulted in $8,567,041 of tax revenue.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board was established in 2004 with the passage of Act 71, also known as the Race Horse Development and Gaming Act.
