PA Gaming Control Board Approves Equipment- Manufacturer Regulations, Application Forms
Initial Application period to Close Aug. 15, 2005
HARRISBURG: The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today unanimously approved regulations governing manufacturers of gaming equipment and general administration. Separately, the Board agreed to publish application forms for equipment manufacturers within a week and to accept an initial phase of equipment-manufacturer applications for consideration through Aug. 15, 2005.
“The Board’s approval of the manufacturer regulations and license application forms is a major step toward the eventual licensing of the 14 gaming sites permitted under Act 71 because the law requires that manufacturers of gaming equipment be licensed at least 90 days before any operating licenses are issued,” said Thomas A. “Tad” Decker, Chairman of the Board.
Act 71 of 2004 authorizes the Board to write regulations governing all aspects of gaming in the Commonwealth.
The downloadable manufacturer application, and instructions for completing it, will be posted on the Gaming Board’s Web site, www.pgcb.state.pa.us, on or before June 23, 2005. To be considered during the initial round of licensing, applicants must submit a completed application to the Board by Monday Aug. 15, 2005.
